Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy are governed by Colleges under British Columbia's Health Professions Act.
Speech-Language Pathologists have applied for a College under the Health Professions Act. Until the College is established, the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) sets the standard for certification. The BC Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (BCASLPA) has entered into a Joint Membership Agreement with CASLPA.
