Why choose Kamloops as your home? Kamloops is located in the Southern Interior of British Columbia in a scenic valley at the junction of the North and South Thompson Rivers. With a population of over 82,000, we are a University City and have been named the Tournament Capital of Canada. The Kamloops region has hot, dry summers, and snow at the higher elevations in winter. This allows for an unlimited amount of outdoor recreation activities. These activities range from golfing, hiking, mountain biking and fishing at our many nearby lakes and rivers to world class downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing at the nearby Sun Peaks Ski Resort. Kamloops also plays host to a local symphony orchestra, live theatres, art gallery and the popular WHL hockey team, the Kamloops Blazers. Located just 200 kms from Kelowna and 350 kms from Vancouver, Kamloops is the economic hub of the Southern Interior where residents are living large and paying less.
