| SUMMARY
Working without general supervision under the administrative direction of the Manager or delegate and as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team delivering care to children, youth and families in the community setting, the Paediatric Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services, consultation, and educates clients, caregivers, staff and the community on rehabilitation interventions. This position requires travel to a variety of settings and locations in the North Island and Mt. Waddington areas. This temporary part-time position works at total of 57.6 hours biweekly as part of the Mount Waddington area's Child, Youth & Family Health - Child & Family Rehabilitation Services Department. The hours of work are: 0830 - 1630 hours (fulltime during school year with summers and school breaks off)
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational or Rehabilitation Therapy from a recognized university
* Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
* Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice
* Two (2) years recent, related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* Valid BC driver’s license as travel is a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements.
