We are actively recruiting for a SLP to join our Child and Family Rehabilitation Services at the Queen Alexandra Centre for Children's Health in Victoria. Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) is the primary healthcare provider for Vancouver Island, BC.
As a member of an assigned team with a family centred philosophy, you are responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a child's communication disorders in order to promote the social, physical, and psychological well being of the child. Clinical guidance/instruction is available from the Senior Speech Language Pathologist. The hours of work are 7.2 hour day shifts with weekends and statutory holidays off.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's degree from an accredited school of Speech Pathology and Audiology.
• Two (2) years previous experience working with children who have multiple disabilities and communication disorders.
• Certification and eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (C.A.S.L.P.A.).
