| The Occupational Therapy program provides services for children with special needs. The Program’s focus is on early intervention and prevention. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the overall management of the Occupational Therapy program, ensuring quality programs are provided for all clients. The position involves assessment, treatment, planning and implementation of established goals within the early intervention/prevention principles and practices of a Family Centered Philosophy. Some lifting is required to effectively carry out the duties of the position.
The Occupational Therapist also functions as a member of the Early Intervention Team which provides services to children and their families through a family centered service model.
This position entails working outside regular office hours, which may include evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and their families. Home visits are required.
This position requires Union membership.
